Oh, this is just great. He throws Genevieve over his shoulder regardless of the yelling and starts running as fast as he can. He can hear the thing's deep, hooting laughter in his bones as he runs, and it seems like they're just outside of pouncing range. At least, he hopes they are.
Ducking around a car proves him partially right, as the thing crashes into the car with a deafening noise. It's stunned? Maybe? As he runs and looks for an alley or something to duck into.
