Badd had it hidden in the back of the closet in a beaten-up box. If you locked it up people could still take the box, and it would be more likely to be taken in the first place. Nothing useful would come out of a box that had five holes and twelve sparkly heart stickers.
The helmet would be easily recognizable as Byrne's, if Novoc had seen it before. Badd ran his thumb over the crest above the eyepieces before reluctantly passing it over to the Mando.
